Warming Schools Project

This project aims to address the urgent need for environmental and economic sustainability in a context of global challenges and growing demographic and consumption demands. It is in line with the priorities for adapting vocational education and training (VET) to labour market needs and environmental sustainability. The initiative will develop an innovative vocational training course that uses cutting-edge knowledge to address environmental challenges in key economic sectors.


Goals:

  • Strengthening the capacity of vocational education and training providers to offer innovative and high-quality courses for socio-economic and environmental sustainability.
  • Promoting educational innovation through collaboration between vocational training providers, sustainable development experts, research institutes and professional trainers.
  • Improving the recognition of vocational training providers as a driver for sustainable development in the future labour market.

Objectives:

  • Build teaching staff capacity and know-how in sustainability, circular economy and green innovation, with 6 directly involved and 30 additional teachers.
  • Develop a practice-oriented course on green skills and sustainable development for VET learners. Objective: Pilot course in 3 VET schools.
  • Raise awareness of social responsibility and green development. Goal: dissemination campaign in 8 partner institutions, 240 live viewers, 180,000 online followers.
  • Promote commitment to sustainable development among youth and VET students as youth ambassadors, with a focus on equal participation.
