YOUTH+

YOUTH+  Project

Everyone has a superpower to find a way out of even the most difficult of situations!

Did you know that superheroes are harder to see in small villages, marginalized neighborhoods or in children's homes?

That is why there needs to be a space where they can discover their abilities in themselves and in others.

Youth is a step against prejudice and negative thought patterns, and sets an example for the successful inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.

The project offers the necessary tools and recognition of youth work in which the target groups face challenges.

Youth contributes to the quality of youth work through the development of innovative online courses and collection of good practice guidelines.

The project partners have therefore designed a youth work strategy that empowers at-risk youth to design their own projects in the context of their own communities. We are convinced that the construction of youth groups who are able implement their own volunteer activities , the most sustainable solution is to promote social inclusion and create positive change.

The YOUTH+ project - short introduction

"Everyday Superheroes" Exhibition

Exhibition about our current project YOUTH+ at the Mifgash Peace Festival on the campus of HSRW Kleve:

"Everyday Superheroes" tells the story of youth groups from Germany, Hungary, Romania, Spain and Latvia who planned and set up their own volunteer project over the course of a year. They overcame their own obstacles, discovered their common strengths and in the process helped people around them.

The youth projects were created in 4 phases:

1. team building

2. planning

3. implementation of the volunteer actions

4. conclusion

Finally, in August 2023, all teams from the different partner countries came together again for a "Youth Leader Training" in Latvia.

At the following youth conference in Riga, the groups themselves gave workshops on topics they wanted to bring closer to young people and youth workers; such as living in cultural diversity and addiction prevention.
